Chinese Series Songs

Speaking of Chinese Series, it brings lots of memories to me and maybe to some of you out there as well. Back in the days when I was a kid, TVB series were the most popular. Everyone seemed to be chasing after the TVB series from 1 episode to another. Series can sometimes go up to 50 or 100 episodes, depending on the storyline.

For those "hot" series, you had to make advance reservations on a particular series in order to rent it first. If not, you will have to wait for the tapes to be returned before you get your chance to rent them.

Series can be categorized as modern and old time. In these 2 groups, there are many different genre such as romance, thriller, comedy, education and many more. For me, I prefer the kung fu series which features the actors and actresses flying here and there, thanks to special effects.

In both Series and Movies, one element that cannot be missed is the songs. The theme songs or supported songs play an important role. If the theme song does not suit the movie, it will actually spoil the whole movie.

There are so many great songs from Chinese Series. Due to many episodes, you will only like the theme songs after few episodes. The series theme songs that I like the most are Ran Bu Ren Sheng 染布人生 from Jin Xiu Liang Yuan 锦绣良缘 (Colourful Life), Yi Ge Ren 一个人 from Xi Yuan Lu 洗冤录, all the songs from She Diao Ying Xiong Zhuan 射雕英雄传, Wang Ji Shang Hai 忘记伤害 from Lü Zheng Xin Ren Wang 律政新人王, Lan Tian 蓝天 from Nan Qin Nü Ai 男亲女爱 (War of Genders) and etc....

When you listen to those songs, it brings back many fond memories of the stories and characters for that particular series.
